Why you need it

Most community broadcasting licences require you to keep a recording of everything you transmit for a set period, and to produce it on request. Doing that manually is unreliable, and finding a specific ninety seconds from six weeks ago in a pile of untagged files is worse.

BroadcastLogger records continuously, names and files everything by date and time automatically, and removes recordings once they're past your retention period so your disk doesn't quietly fill up.

What it does

  • Continuous recording from your off-air or desk feed
  • Automatic retention — set how long to keep recordings and it manages the rest
  • Fast search by date and time, so a complaint about "around 4:20pm last Tuesday" takes seconds
  • Export a segment as a standard audio file for a complaint response or regulator request
  • Space monitoring with alerts before the disk fills, not after
  • Works alongside anything — it records off-air, so it doesn't care which play-out system you use
