We build radio software for community stations, because community radio deserves software built for community radio — not a cut-down version of a commercial system priced for a network that owns forty stations.

Why accessibility comes first

Community radio has always been one of the most genuinely accessible forms of broadcasting. Getting on air needs a voice and something to say, not a production budget.

But the software has often been the barrier. Presenters who are blind or vision-impaired routinely work around play-out systems that were never once tested with a screen reader — memorising screen positions, keeping sighted help on standby for tasks that should take one keystroke.

We decided the accessible path should be the main path, not a mode you switch into. It's harder to build that way. It also means that when we ship something, it ships working for everyone.

What we're not

We're not trying to be the biggest play-out system on the market, and we're not chasing features that only make sense for commercial networks. We'd rather do a smaller number of things reliably, for stations that don't have an engineering department.
